Evidence before answer
A claim should identify its source, scope, and the time at which it was checked.
Mission
The foundation studies artificial intelligence, memory, and cognitive systems with the goal of building solutions that can be traced, tested, and safely challenged.
A claim should identify its source, scope, and the time at which it was checked.
A system should distinguish fact, inference, hypothesis, and lack of knowledge.
Autonomy requires boundaries, consent, auditability, and a safe stopping mode.
A method should enable scrutiny, challenge, and replication.
Statutory purposes
Research into AI safety and trustworthiness is the programme’s core. The statute also covers education, technological sovereignty, social good, digital transformation, and responsible applications in energy and climate.
AI, machine learning, memory, neural architectures, and cognitive systems.
AI Safety, Trustworthy AI, ethics, and accountable autonomous systems.
Technology education and research into AI’s impact on work, the economy, and institutions.
European technological, digital, and institutional capacity.
Technologies supporting energy transition and sustainable development.
Boundaries
We will not call a plan a result, a prototype a product, or funding we merely intend to seek an awarded grant.
We will not use the foundation’s authority to conceal its relationship with KLNR.AI. We disclose that relationship explicitly.
We will not replace evidence with confidence of tone. When knowledge is insufficient, the correct result may be: we do not know.
